Our journey began with establishing an amateur theater troupe called Scena Srce (the Heart Theater). The initial intent back in October 2023 was to produce a relatively simple play, The Pocket Watch, in which we were to remain completely faithful to Dragan Lazarevic’s graphic novel, Sat (The Pocket Watch).

Once we announced our intentions, we were met with extraordinary community enthusiasm: people kept on signing up to act, asking for roles with lines—a joyous problem to face, indeed.

In order to accommodate an ever-growing number of characters in the play, many rewrites later significantly altered the original storyline and progressively moved us further away from the original idea of a small production faithful to Lazarevic’s story.

We now count 45 volunteers, both as organizers and actors, and we are profoundly happy to say that we will be ready to present to you our first play, The Pocket Watch, on May 1st and 3rd, 2025.
